“This training was a deeply enriching experience. As a doula, I had already incorporated some rebozo techniques into my practice, but this training allowed me to go much further, refine my practice, and better understand the scope of this ancestral tool.

The teachings are offered with enormous respect for the cultural origins of the rebozo - each technique is taught with clarity and gentleness. I appreciated the balance between theory, practice and the space given to exchanges between participants.

I have been using these techniques in my birth work and I have noticed how much comfort, relief and a deep sense

of security they bring to the people I support. A must for anyone working in perinatal care who wishes to enrich their toolbox in a respectful and conscious manner.”

Reciprocity

For a long time, we’ve asked ourselves: what does a fair and equitable exchange truly look like? How can we show our gratitude to the communities and teachers in Mexico who have shared their wisdom with us? How can we ensure these ancestral traditions are preserved and continue to flourish, while honoring the relationships we’ve built with those who have passed on this precious knowledge?

At the Rebozo Collective, we donate a percentage of each training to support special projects with the Bazan/Chavez family in Teotitlán del Valle and to support our midwifery and herbalist teachers in Mexico.

This is our way of caring for the guardians of this tradition, practicing reciprocity, and circulating the energy that has been so generously shared with us.
